In the early morning hours on May 6th our sweet, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was born October 3, 1928 in Preston, Idaho; the first born of 10 kids to Orval and Laura (Layne) Harris. Carma lived on the family farm in Fairview, Idaho. She loved to help raise her siblings and help with the household chores. Carma graduated from Preston High School and shortly after met and married the love of her life, Perry R. Hymas. She was a homemaker and loved raising her children. Her hobbies included sewing, tying quilts, and doing ceramics with her husband at the Roy Senior Center. She was a great cook and was famous for her breads and pies. She loved music and all family get-togethers. She never had a bad word about anyone.
She is survived by her sons, Kent (Nancy) Hymas, CA, and Bryan (Susan) Hymas, Riverdale, UT and her daughter Jeanie (Leonard) Gonzales, Roy, UT. Also surviving are her brother, Steve Harris and her sister, Marilyn Liechty. Carma also has 11 grand-children and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 7 siblings, her sons Terry and Roger and her grandson, Jason.
We would like to give a special thank you for the loving care our mom received at George E. Wahlen Veterans Home and a special thank you to the Hearts for Hospice.
