Fairview - Byron Shelton Schulthies was called home suddenly to his Heavenly Parents, on August 22, 2012, at the Logan Regional Medical Center. Byron was born on June 7, 1931 to Rendell Howard and Beatrice Parkin Schulthies in West Bountiful, Utah. He was married to JoAnn Hall on December 2, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. They would have been married 59 years this December.

Byron and JoAnn were blessed with 42 grand children, and 12 great grand children. Dad loved his sweetheart, JoAnn, dearly. He loved his family, he loved serving the Lord, missionary work and farming. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Byron served faithfully as bishop, high councilor, in a stake presidency, Sunday school teacher and many other callings. He loved serving a mission with JoAnn by his side in Trona, (San Bernardino Mission) California. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his eternal sweetheart, JoAnn Hall Schulthies of Preston, Idaho and their children, Rob Schulthies (Joann) of Salem, OR; Danette Schroeder of American Fork, UT; Scott Schulthies (Susan) of Centerville, UT; Kim White (Craig) of No Ogden, UT; Kris Schulthies (Catherine) of Riverton, UT; Bonnie Jackson (Kelly) of Morgan, UT; Brad Schulthies (Jane) of Bountiful, UT; Leisa Child (Jeff) of Hooper, UT; Kathy Loveland (Dean) of Preston, ID; Kirk Schulthies (Allison) of Neola, UT; Diana Anderson (Paul) of Bakersfield, CA.

Funeral services will be held on August 27, 2012 at 11 a.m., at the Fairview Church at 165 W. 4800 S., Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8pm, at Webb Funeral Home at 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, Idaho and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Fairview Church. The internment will be held at the Bountiful cemetery at 2224 S. 200 W., Bountiful, Utah. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
