Brent B Swainston

Brent B Swainston was born on June 9, 1955, to Heber Campbell and Geneal Bosworth Swainston in Preston, Idaho. Brent passed away suddenly and peacefully at the age of 69 on July 5, 2024. Brent was the third oldest of six children and grew up in Winder, Idaho, working on the family farm with his brothers. Brent worked eagerly on the farm and with the horses, riding them out into the hills. 

 Brent graduated from Preston High School in 1973 before attending Utah State University. Brent had a long career driving semi-trucks from as far as the east coast, the Midwest, and along the west coast, making deliveries along the way. He also did short-haul trucking for local farmers and companies in the Wasatch valley area. Brent always had a passion for photography—sharing his photos of interesting people and beautiful local landscapes. He also enjoyed sharing stories of his family and the local history with others.

 Brent is survived by his son, Tyler (Ivana) Swainston, Las Vegas, Nevada; and his brothers: Allan (Beckie) Swainston, Preston, Idaho; Tim (Shauna) Swainston, Ivins, Utah; Kay (Lorie) Swainston, Preston, Idaho; Van Swainston, Preston, Idaho; and Dee (Cindy) Swainston, Preston, Idaho. Brent has joined his parents and other loved ones and is at peace now. 

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
