RICHMOND, UTAH - - BLANCHE E. PITCHER
RICHMOND- Blanche Ewer Pitcher, 91, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Family Place Quality Senior Living Center in Lewiston, Utah. She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Frank and Amy Williams Ewer. She married Boyd Rees Pitcher on June 23, 1941, in Paris, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
She lived in Trenton, Utah until 1964 when they moved to Richmond. She was a homemaker and kept an immaculate home. She loved sewing, quilting, and all types of crafts. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in various callings.
She is survived by a son, Larry (Linda) Pitcher of Cornish, Utah; a daughter, Jolene (James) Douglass of Preston, Idaho; four grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and by a sister, Berniece Fredrickson of Malad, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Richmond 4th Ward Chapel, 150 S. 1st E., Richmond, Utah, with Bishop Jason Crafts conducting. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Smithfield Utah Cemetery.
