Preston, Idaho - - - B. Creed Wheeler
Preston - Our hardworking, kind-hearted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Blaine Creed Wheeler, passed away January 12, 2012 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. Creed was born February 23, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Wellington C. and Alice Goodfellow Wheeler. His father died when he was just a few months old. Creed was raised in Bountiful by his mother and a fine step father, Elmo J. Steed.
He was a great outdoorsman, loving his life work as a brick mason and his many outdoor pleasures such as fishing and hunting. From the time he was a young boy he had a great love for his dogs, horses, and Mother Nature. He was a member of the Bountiful Jeep Posse for many years. He was especially happy living on his ranch in Preston and being a part of that community.
He married JoEllen Johnson and they had four children, then later divorced. He married Inza Hammond and they spent three enjoyable years together. He is survived by his wife Inza, of Preston; a son Carl (Karen) Wheeler, of Thatcher, ID; a daughter Angie (Mike) Dastic, of North Salt Lake, UT; three grandchildren, Austin Brick, Landon Creed, and Maison Elizabeth Wheeler, all of Thatcher, ID; two brothers Gordon G. Wheeler, and Kent E. (Sharlee) Steed, and a sister Susan (Robert) Robison. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Gregory Creed, and a daughter Annette Maree, and a special friend, Gladys Williams
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Preston 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 155 North 200 West, in Preston. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston and on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church.
