Beverly Jean Mortensen

Beverly Jean Nelson Mortensen, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Franklin County  Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born on March 26, 2018 1929 in Preston, Idaho to S. Vern and Lucia Thomander Nelson. She married Ralph S. Mortensen on October 13, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Beverly worked many various jobs where she managed offices for many different companies from newspapers to retail offices. She was active in the LDS Church and was always involved with the youth. She worked with the youth for 20 years. She served with Ralph in the Houston South Mission. Beverly had a love of the Gospel and a strong testimony of the Savior.

She is survived by her husband Ralph, of Preston, her son Philip Mortensen of Chubbuck, ID; Jan Garret of Preston, ID; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a sister Leah (Reese) Almond, of West Valley City, UT; and a brother Gary (Diane) Nelson, of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Paulette Hansen, and sons-in-law Craig Garrett, and Brent Hansen.

Funeral services will held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 East 100 South in Preston.  A viewing will be held Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. also at the stake center.
