Betty Lou Buhler Loosli Nelson

Betty Lou Nelson, age 98, passed away on April 28, 2024 at Heritage Home assisted living in Preston Idaho.   Betty was born in Gooding Idaho on April 1, 1926 to parents Jerry Church and Ida Matson Church.  Betty lived in Magic Valley Idaho most of her life, and spent the last 20 years in Preston Id.  She married Merald T. (Duke) Buhler in 1944 and they had 5 exceptional children. Duke passed away in 1975.  She married Merlin Loosli in 1982.  Merlin passed away in 1999.  She married Ashby Nelson in 2004 and moved to Preston.  Ashby passed away in 2022.  

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, her sister Marlene Hammond, her daughter Betty Jean (Jeanie) Prince, son-in-law James Maxwell Prince, grandson Clint Smith and great grandson Nathan Brunson.  

She is survived by 101 decedents. Sherry (Hyrum) Newton – Preston ID, Barbara (Bill) Vigliotti – Idaho Falls ID, Ronald (Cheryl) Buhler – Wendell ID, and Wayne (Kari) Buhler – Springville UT.   22 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Preston 8^th Ward Chapel, 213 S. 200 E., Preston.  Viewings will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston and Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment and a short graveside service will be at the Shoshone Idaho Cemetery on Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
