Betty Marie Jensen Corbett, 75, went to meet her beloved husband, Jack, on Saturday January 19, 2013 in Preston, Idaho. Betty was born on March 15, 1937, to Albert and Florence Jensen. She was an only child.
She married Donald Jack Corbett on March 12, 1958 in Preston, Idaho. The wedding took place at Gwen Call's home and soon after the couple began their marriage in Mink Creek. Years later they moved to Preston where they made their home and raised their two children: Jacke and Shane. After being married for 39 years, Jack Corbett passed away on May 30, 1997.
Betty was an active part of the community and was always on top of everything that was going on in town. Betty could tell you anything and everything you wanted to know. Betty loved visiting with her friends and family; she would call them often to find a new story about what was happening. She was well known for her knowledge and her information. Her son Shane would often call her for the 4-1-1 because she would always know the new chatter going on in the valley. It wouldn't be a normal day if you didn't hear the news from Betty.
Betty is survived by: children Jacke of Salt Lake City, Utah and Shane (Sherrie) Corbett of Preston, Idaho; two grandchildren Brooke and Austin; as well as close friends Corrinne Jones and Galina Perova. She will be preceded in death by: her parents Albert and Florence Jensen, and her husband Donald Jack.
Our family would like to thank the Franklin County Medical Center and Betty's extended family for the loving care they gave her in her last months and throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 12 noon in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 North State Street in Preston, Idaho. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston, Idaho and Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. also at Webb Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
