Preston - Barbara Rae Kent Sharp, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Logan, Utah in the Logan Regional Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1945 in Lewiston, Utah to Cecile Earl and Edna Hawkins Kent.

Barbara was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings but was well known as the chorister for over 20 years. She also served as a Cub Scout Leader. She enjoyed a number of activities but especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her children Justin (Kenna) Sharp, of Preston, ID; Jason (Julie) Sharp, of Preston; Jesse (Mindee) Sharp, of Paradise, UT; Jenni (David) Long, of Soda Springs, ID; 13 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings NaDene (Farrell) Wiser, of Centerville, UT; Clinton (Glenda) Kent, of Farmington, NM; Ruth (Don) Bailey, of Washougal, WA; David (Barbara) Kent, of Smithfield, UT; Carla (Tim) Castillo, of Smithfield, UT; Cindy Reynolds, of Logan, UT; and Brenda (Frank) Barrera, of Hyrum, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Klea Cantrell, mother-in-law Eva Walton Sharp and father-in-law Renold Sharp.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 East 1st South, in Preston with Bishop Mark Beckstead conducting. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston, and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center.
