Bailand Riley Johnson was returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on May 25, 2017. He was born on April 26, 1998 to Brandi Olsen of Clearfield, Utah and Dorian Johnson of Preston, Idaho. From the moment, he was born he brought so much joy and happiness to everyone that knew him. He could make anyone laugh in any situation. He chose to find the positive in everything, and was always the peacemaker and the person to unite everyone around him.
Bailand made friends easily, he excepted and loved anyone regardless of their situation or background. Bailand loved to play lacrosse, run track, and cross country. He was happiest when he was out hunting, and fishing. It was never unusual to find him up hiking or hammocking with his friends whenever he had the chance.
Bailand loved music, and making YouTube videos, whether it was an outdoor activity or pranks; he loved his GoPro. He loved the gospel and served honorably for a short time in the Argentina, Bahia Blanca LDS Mission. Bailand loved his siblings, and they loved him and looked up to him. Bailand is a hero to many, including his parents and extended family.
Our sweet Bailand was taken way to soon, but will forever live in our hearts and remain in our presence. We are truly grateful for the time we were given on this earth to spend with him. He is our brother, son, friend, and hero. We will miss you, until we meet again.
Bailand is survived by his mother, Brandi (Tony) Olsen (Clearfield, Utah) and his father, Dorian Johnson (Preston, Idaho), siblings, Tylee Johnson, Brinley Johnson, and Kye Johnson (Clearfield, UT), grandparents, Christine Riser (Brigham, UT), and David and Gloria Johnson (Preston, Idaho) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 12 p.m. at the Preston LDS Church 155 North 200 West in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. both at the church. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com. Donations can be made to the Bailand Johnson Memorial Fund at Mountain America Credit Union or Bailand Johnson Memorial Fund at Lewiston State Bank.
