Audrey Armina Rawlins, 102, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2017 in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born on March 2, 1914 in Turner, Idaho to Brigham and Susan Elnora Egbert McCann. She married Geraldus Rawlins on February 21, 1931 and they had three sons and four daughters.
She went to school in Grace and Pocatello. They lived in Grace, Pocatello, Ogden and Layton before moving to Arizona. They went out in Utah and Wyoming for three months at a time and were gate guards for the oil wells. She established and built a catering business where she did all the cooking and made the most beautiful wedding cakes ever. Family and home was always her #1 priority. She was a fabulous cook and no one ever left her home hungry. She was a beautiful seamstress and quilter and crocheted beautiful afghans. In her last days at the care home, she always loved it when we took the great grandchildren in to visit her.
She is survived by her four daughters, Karen (Philip) Ashbaker, Fae (Dwain) Flowers, Rae (Robert) Kimbrew, and Jan (Richard) White, 18 grandchildren, and 62 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three sons Ronald Glen, Jerry Alden, and Leon.
