Arlene Sharp Wanner, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born on October 16, 1931 in Preston, Idaho to Elmer Alonzo and Luella Blanche Sharp. She married Lincoln Bertus Wanner on December 2, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with one daughter and four sons.
They raised their family on a ranch in Glendale, Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many various callings. Some of her favorite things she did were to serve in the Pink Ladies Auxiliary and serve the community. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very proud of them and always enjoyed their visits.
She is survived by her children Jerry Wanner, of Preston; Steve (Vickie) Wanner of Preston; Bruce (Susie) Wanner, of Pocatello, ID; Randy (Jill) Wanner, of Fairview, ID; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Fern Olsen, Ivona Axelton, Roberta Butin, and Roma Crockett. Arlene was preceded death by her parents, her husband Bertus, a daughter Vicki, a great grandson Mayson Cornell, a sister Blanche Newbold, and a brother Ferrin Sharp.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr Jeffers, the staff at the hospital and her friend Cindy Wall for the care they gave to Arlene.
