Anita Joy Porter Winward

Anita Joy Porter Winward, 77, graduated to the next life after experiencing a heart attack on January 10, 2025, in Logan, Utah. She was born May 12, 1947, in Preston, Idaho, the daughter of Lyle Robert and Laura Hansen Porter. She had two brothers, Gary (Ramona) and Calvin (Cindy and the late Kathryne), and one sister, Nancy (the late Brent Anderson).

She graduated from West Side High School in Dayton, Idaho, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from Utah State University.

She married Bruce Woodrow Winward September 18, 1967, in the Logan Temple. They had seven children: Christopher (Carlene) Winward – Farson, Wyoming; Bryan (Margaret) Winward – Dayton, Idaho; Clark (Michelle) Winward – Dayton, Idaho; Sheila (Justin) Jenkins – Taylorsville, Utah; Camille – (Spirit World); Lisa (Robert) McKenzie – Rexburg, Idaho; and Nicole Winward – Dayton, Idaho. She has 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Camille, and her parents, Lyle and Laura Porter.

Anita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and to the Lord. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Clifton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel located at 170 West 100 North Clifton, Idaho. A viewing will be held Tuesday 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Preston, Idaho. An additional viewing will be Wednesday 9:30–10:30 a.m. at the Clifton chapel.
