Amy Merlin Bancroft

Amy Merlin Bancroft, 47, passed away Dec. 26, 2015 at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho.  She was born April 19, 1968 in Ventura, California the daughter of George Lyle Bancroft and Joan Fackrell.

She was born with Down-Syndrome and had two heart surgeries as a child.  She lived for many years with the Barrett family in Atascadero, California.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  She overcame many challenges in her life.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Hansen of Preston; a sister, Carrie Jo Hansen of Denver, Colorado; by two brothers, Russell Clayton Bancroft of Salt Lake City, Utah and Steven Lee Bancroft of Duschene, Utah; and by a step-sister, Julie Hippely of West Lake, California.  She was preceded in death by her father; by a brother, George Ray Bancroft; by a sister, Barbara Jean Bancroft; and by her step-father, David Hansen.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at Noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho with President Mike Dansie conducting.  Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
