PRESTON, IDAHO ALTA M. STEYRER
PRESTON- Alta M. Steyrer, 86, passed away on Sept. 21, 2011 at the Heritage Home Assisted Living Center in Preston. She was born Jan. 24, 1925, in Stephenville, Texas. She married Ernie Rolfe and had three children, Richard Rolfe, Donna Roche and Marci Daberko. Ernie passed away in 1986. She married Erwin "Ernie" Steyrer who also preceded her in death.
Alta worked for TRW in California as a technician on the Lunar Landing module, Sky Lab and the Apollo space missions. She retired to Carson City, Nevada. Due to health reasons, she came to live in Preston, Idaho to be near family.
She will be missed by her surviving family, Marci Daberko of Idaho, Vicki Cox of Texas, by all her grandchildren and extended family and by all that loved her. The family would like to thank the Heritage Home and Hospice for all their kind service.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, California. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
