LAVA HOT SPRINGS, IDAHO- Alice Buxton Poole, 86, passed away on Feb. 22, 2013, at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Logan, Utah. She was born July 28, 1926, in Driggs, Idaho, the daughter of Alfred Lester and Mercedes Kent Buxton. She married Thomas Clair Poole on April 16, 1945, in Logan, Utah.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having taught in the various auxiliaries of the church. She served a mission as well. She worked many years as a bank teller.
She is survived by two daughters, Jann Job of Pocatello, Idaho; Sandra Sales of Bozeman, Montana; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nathan L. Buxton of Preston, Idaho; C. Val (Jeanne) Buxton of Orem, Utah; and by a sister, Joyce B. (LaMar) Tarbet of Cornish, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, by a son, Thomas K. Poole, by a grandson, Damian Poole, by her parents, and by her siblings, Helen B. Layne, Mary B. Hansen, Lyle K. Buxton, Ted L. Buxton and Rowene B. Ransom.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at noon in the Lava Hot Springs LDS Church in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the church.
