Alice Elizabeth "Liz" Lorrigan

Alice “Liz” Lorrigan, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022. She was born in Wickenburg, Arizona to Edward T. Ijams and Marion Miller. Liz married Monte Lorrigan for time and all eternity on Nov 14,1958 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Monte died 145 days prior to his bride of over 63 years, and his wait to be reunited has ended.

Liz’s life cannot be summed up with a few paragraphs so instead I’ll give you a peek into her spirit. Liz was nurturing, dignified, demure, meticulous, charitable, enduring, patient, inspiring, devoted, and above all else she was loving. Psalm 78:26 “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Liz was preceded in death by her ever-loving husband, Monte Lorrigan. Also, by 2 of her children, Todd Lorrigan and Cathie Lorrigan. She is survived by the rest of her children. Kirk (Helen) Lorrigan, Rebecca (Neil) Maxwell, Amber (Dave) Wiener, David (Nancy) Lorrigan, Bill (Megan) Lorrigan, Sarah (Julio) Vergara, Corinne (Chimmie) Hurt, and Jackie Ermini. In addition, Liz has left 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

To respect our mother’s wishes there will be no public viewing or service. Burial will be in the Riverdale, Idaho cemetery.
