Lewiston - Our loving mother Albert Perkins Cook, 85, rejoined our loving father on Friday, May 24, 2013. She was born in Roosevelt, Utah on December 26, 1927 to Bemjamin and Joannie Sessions Perkins. She was raise in Mt Emmons, Utah and lived many years in Utah County, and spent the last 13 years in Lewiston.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout her life she enjoyed crocheting, travel, puzzles, puzzle books, genealogy, visiting and crafting with her sisters. She loved dancing and always told us the reason she married dad was because he was such a good dancer.
Our mom was a strong independent woman who raised seven of her 10 children after her husband passed away in 1971. She worked until she was 73 years old. Alberta worked as a waitress, cook, headstart teacher, production, union painter, owned her own restaurant and as a cashier.
Alberta is survived by her children Cheryl (Erwin) Conder, Pamela (Joseph) Nerdin, Karl (Christina) Cook, Paula Cook, LeRae Edwards, Kevin (Jeanne) Cook, Vivian West, Kristina Cook, Wade (Shegay) Cook, 31 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren, and a sister Bonnie (Boyd) Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, and a son Douglas (Joyce) Cook, and eight siblings. She loved and was loved by her children and grandchildren and her many friends throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lewiston First Ward LDS Chapel at 10 South 1600 West in Lewiston. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church in Lewiston. Interment will be in the Altamonte, Utah Cemetery on Tuesday at approximately 4:00 p.m. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
