Preston - Agnes Vernita Kennedy Hill Anderson, 90, passed away on August 11, 2012 in Preston, Idaho. Vernita was born in Aberdeen, Washington and grew up in Central Park, graduating from Weather Wax High School in 1939. Vernita trained to be an LPN in 1964 and worked in the Tacoma and Federal Way hospitals and nursing homes for 20 years. After retiring in 1986, she moved to Westport, Washington where she resided in her dream home for 23 years. Vernita was a talented craft person and enjoyed various collections in cluding antiques and bears. She volunteered for the Grays Harbor Senior Companion Program for many years. She also loved dogs and cats, taking in many stray animals and giving them a loving home over the years. Vernita moved to Richmond, Utah in 2012 and is survived by her family, Tedee (Dee) Petersen, of Richmond, UT; and Geneva Hakala, also of Richmond, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
